The 35th wedding anniversary

It is our 35th wedding anniversary today.

We were class mates at a med shcool and got married on this day in a year 35 years ago. Serving residency at the same hospital, having children, building own home here and my retirement. Surely, a lot of water has flowed under the bridge. I feel I have owed much to my wife. It is the time for me to support her. I am feeling thankful to be blessed with such a chance to live closer each other again. May our health be blessed for a while.

We are going to have a fancy dinner tomorrow.

My wife before use 35 years ago. It was in a short honey moon in Izu peninsula.

  2. In life, you are only given the opportunity to choose friends and spouses. Children, parents, bosses, siblings are all given to us without our consent. And, other than bosses, you cannot throw any of them away. But, spouses and friends are the persons we have the opportunity to select. We also have the opportunity to hold on to those friendships for as long as we choose. Or,we can walk away at any time. It speaks a thousand words of the friendship between you and Chiaki. Through all the challenges of life, you have held onto each other. A beautiful friendship. A wonderful celebration of your 35 years with Chiaki, Shin. Congratulations.

    1. Don,

Thanks for your domment. Yes, we have chosen each other. On the day leaving this world, I hope not to regret about that choice or not to have my wife do the same way.

  3. Hello Shin,
I apologize for missing your anniversary. It has been very busy the last several weeks. But I can still applaud your 35 year commitment to each other. I'll bet it seems like yesterday. Next year will be our 25th anniversary and I have been considering a trip to Hawaii. Best wishes to you and Chiaki.
    With kind regards,

    1. The more we have lived together, the faster the time passes, as you might feel. Have a nice trip to KH6 next year. See you on the radio soon.

  4. Congratulations Shin, and best wishes to many more to you and your lovely wife. Sorry I remain remiss by not keeping up with amateur radio and my friends thereof. My excuse remains the same - work and family demands. We still have one child in college. After that, I hope to have some more time. I do occasionally stop by to read your very interesting comments.

Merry Christmas and our wishes that you and your family have a prosperous New Year.
