Another family dish in Japan
Vegetables, soy bean curd, konjak and chicken meat cooked with soy sauce, sake and other seasonings. A typical family dish in Japan. It was a success that my wife had another helping!
Interesting. I did not know what konjak was so I looked it up. It is the tuberous root of the Amorphophyllus konjak, but I am sure you knew that. I grow A. bulbifer in the garden as an ornamental. Don't know if it is editable. I am not allowed (by wife) to grow the A. titanum because of the foul smell of the flower.
I was almost ignorant of Konjak by myself. Just learned about it in Wikipedia hi. A. konjak is a special product in our area, exactly, in a prefecture next to us. My wife likes it. Maybe, owing to its low calory and high fiber content. I don't know of the other speceis you mentioned.
