A muskmelon is getting ripened. The size is not so big as that sold in the store. Still looking forward to harvesting it for my first experience of growing this fruit. Hopefully, it won't be a victim of crows etc. It is covered with straw not to be found by them.
I know a few doctors fighting against this outbreak. I have heard the bureaucracy kept the prescription/medication of antiviral medicines at outpatient quite troublesome. A lot of paper work and procedures which disturb them working for the patients. This is the 6th surge in this pandemic, possibly the worst among them. When will they learn and improve the system?
The government will regard, as they say, this COVID19 as one of common colds,
when this surge is settled down. No restriction, no test, no intervention for the asymptomatic patients or for those closely contacted with the patients. All the medical facilities should care for COVID19 cases. The government won't pay for self pay portion of medical expenses and the vaccine will be self-paid by the vaccinees. The aim should be to reduce the expense of the government for COVID19 medical treatment/vaccine and to run the economy in the society as if no pandemic were there. I am afraid it would become more of community infection and the society would suffer even more. The authority scarcely mentions of the risk of long COVID. In the US, CNN reported about it here.
Staying home, I am still sweating at the farm pulling the weeds and caring for the vegetables. No more enjoyment necessary for me.
