In a morning recently, at the entrance of ER of a major hospital in Tokyo. The ER staff has posted this clip in twitter.
It reminded me of the days when I was working at ER in a university hospital. Could not sleep all day for a day or two. At present, they might be much busier than those days. Especially, at night when there are much less man power at ER.
The ambulance staff might have hardship as well. They are responsible for the patients in emergency until they hand the patients over to the ER staff.
How long do the patients have to wait for management by ER? Possibly, longer than 2 or 3 hours. In case of real emergency, it could make them fatal.
Our country has experienced tightened medical system for a few times since the pandemic started? Why won't the authority office learn from those strained situation? The government is now busy preparing for the state funeral for the killed former prime minister and for cabinet reshuffle. Is it the point they should work for the people?
They even deregulate the rules for COVID19. They seem to give up following up all the cases. They let it go as it is. The recent prevailing variants are less toxic but much more contagious than former variants/strains. They neglect the problem of long COVID, which hampers the quality of life in certain portion, not so many but still substantially large in number, of COVID19 patients. I will mention about this issue in another post.
I would say many thanks for their efforts to all personnel involved in ER service.
