Eric, W6DU, SK might allow me wear this T shirt when I paint the wooden veranda. I have worn it for the last 3 decades. He was a kind gentleman and, as the president of NCDXF at that time, has donated this T shirt to the crew of XU0JA in 1991.
Eric and me at his home in mid '80s.
I sure miss him.
Hi Shin,
ReplyDeleteI was just listening you chatting with U.S. stations on 40m CW. I got really happy as you answered to my weak signal (100 W to a multiband vertical). We have had some QSOs in the past and just recently I came cross your QSL (TNX!), while flipping through my stack of JA cards. I have been following your blog every now and then, you have many interesting insights.
Hope to see you again in better conditions. Stay safe!

Hi Ari,
DeleteYour call didn't come up in my mind. It was a pleasure for me, however, to catch you. Recently, it is quite tough for me to find a station in Eu conversing on CW. There used to be a lot of OH, SM, OZ or LA who would come through at night in winter. They were invariably ragchewers to some extent. I guess we have met when you had one of your former call signs. Thanks for visiting this blog. I would post more on ham radio or CW but seem to have run out topics or to have lost passion for them. Anyway, leave a few words to it whenever you have any comment. Stay safe.
Shin
