I'd park where I could watch and operate CW. I also operated on our numerous camping trips, both on the road and in camp. Yes, radio was more fun then.W6QRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08681880651692950979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-229771691402494724.post-8669848558772111082017-02-05T09:01:07.279+09:002017-02-05T09:01:07.279+09:00Bill,

Steve, N6TT, used to run mobile from a big trailer as n7ahn/m years ago. When the cell phone was not avilable, many hams used to operate mobile. It might be the brightest days for ham radio, maybe.

ShinShin JA1NUThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01887476281297960362noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-229771691402494724.post-47493281322913557792017-02-04T23:13:23.662+09:002017-02-04T23:13:23.662+09:00Thanks for sharing your mobile CW adventures Shin,...Thanks for sharing your mobile CW adventures Shin, it brings back fond memories. I also operated mobile CW, it was in the early 90s. I had a large passenger van that made a very good counterpoise for the Ham Stick antennas I was using. I made a custom console to hold the rig with an armrest for keying that fit between the front seats. I mostly operated 30M in those days and all but one of the regular stations I worked is SK. It was great fun....Bill, W6QRW6QRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08681880651692950979noreply@blogger.com
